The purpose of this website is to promote small, independently owned businesses in America. The goal of this website is to collect a data base of independently owned small businesses in the hope that one day before someone automatically shops at the corporate level they will first visit www.shoplocalbuylocal.com to see what products are offered in their area. The cost of advertising on the website is only $1 per month. This is mostly to help cover the initial costs to create the site and to help maintain the site. Compared to paper advertising it is very cheap and will be more effective.

One of the most powerful social tools of our time is www.facebook.com. I hope that shoplocalbuylocal.com becomes the “facebook” for small businesses, connecting businesses with many potential patrons.

Hi Jeremy,

I watched your You Tube video and I am quite impressed. You obviously care deeply about your local community. The life blood of most downtown communities is the small shops but I am not telling you anything you didn't already know. I view my job in part as someone who is charged with the responsibility of looking out for the little guy. That's why you saw me at that meeting with the PHRC ready to go to battle. If they come back here again I'll deal with them even more sternly than before. Thanks for the good work you are doing to keep small town America just that.
